The Mean Girls' Reunion - Planning our Vacation

I was lucky enough to find great friends. Back in 2006, Lhei Orante (now Jatap), Lovelle Dulatre and I met in Teletech Cainta's New Hire Orientation. We clicked and stayed friends since then. Unfortunately, we each have to follow our own paths in life. Lhei eventually moved to Teletech's Bacoor Site and later on to another company while Love and I stayed together in Cainta until 2010. After which, we moved to Sutherland and stayed there until end of 2012. While in Sutherland, we also met another very dear friend, Cha Cid.

Today Lhei and he husband is working in Dell Libis, Cha in Hinduja Libis, me in GXS Makati and Love is bumming at her house in Cainta. We met one day and decided to get together this summer to renew our friendship and catch up on each other's lives. But how do we plan a trip for 5 very busy people, with differing schedules and who works and lives very far apart? So, the planning began...

Lhei found this deal in Ensogo for a 3 days/ 2 nights package for 4 to Puerto Galera. She bought the voucher and made reservations for March 23 - 25. Since it's the weekend, Cha and me are on restday. Lhei and her husband Jhay filed their leaves and we bullied Love (who is enjoying her self-sought home exile) into coming with us.

March 23, 7AM - Ministop Robinson's Cainta Branch

From my shift, I went straight to Ministop Junction to meet Love who will be coming from her house in Cainta. After approximately 20minutes, she got there and we then rode a jeep going to Cubao. Both Love and I do not know how to commute using public transport on our own so we were asking each other far we are from Ali-Mall, but really both of us do not know the answer. Haha..

9:00 AM - We finally got to Ali-Mall and there we were met by Cha, Lhei and Jhay who are both reminding us, not very kindly, of the importance of punctuality and the difference between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Haha again. Jhay and Lhei had breakfast in Jollibee while Love, Cha and I bought take out burgers and stuffed them in our bags for later consumption.

We then went to the Araneta Bus stop and waited for the ALPS bus that will take us to Batangas Port. Once inside the bus, we paid P175 bus fare - one way. We left Araneta Center at 10:30 AM, March 23 and arrived at Batangas Port around 1pm. We then went directly to the ticketing office of Minolo Cruise Lines and paid P510 each for a 2-way passage to Muelle Port, Puerto Galera. That includes P230 1-way fare and P50 environmental fees.

Boarding is at 2:30 pm and we got to Muelle Port at around 4pm. There we were met by our shuttle ride to Palangan Bayview Resort. From there, the adventure begins...
