UNHEARD

He will say she just left him 

That she was gone just like that

Didn't give him the chance

To work things out

But what he don't realise

And still yet to understand

She had sent him her tears

Wrapped in poetry and rhymes 

She had sung of her heartache

Of how she hungered to grow

That feeling of emptiness

Untouched sadness and sorrow

How she longed for their love

To reach the depths of the seas

Yearning to tango in heaven

And everywhere in between

But he could not hear her 

Or acknowledge her words

Saying she was all wrong

And that the problem were hers

And soon he will sit there

With tears in his eyes

He'll wish he'd just listened

To her heart wrenching cries
